5 yoga poses which can increase your strength 💪

What if I told you that there are various yogic poses whose practicing can really add up to your strength, physique and more? That's right!! I'm gonna tell you 7 yogic poses which can help you in adding great amount of strength to your body.

  • Plank pose :

Plank pose or Phalakasana in Sanskrit, is a major strength training pose that works all major abdominal muscles, while also strengthening you shoulders, chest, neck, glute and back muscles. Also known as isometric exercise, this pose works to contract the muscles by solely holding the one steady, fixed position.


Plank directly strengthens the rectus abdominis (visual "six-pack" muscles), transverse abdominis (deep core stabilizing muscles), and the internal and external obliques.

Along with the abdomen, Plank pose also helps strengthens build lean muscles to increase overall muscle definition on the body.

  • Urdhva Mukha Svanasana :
This pose enhances your prospects to build an overall physical strength. This pose is found to improve the capacity of the lungs to hold the oxygen for a longer duration. It can also strengthen the arms, wrists and back. 
It also improves your body posture and due to stimulation of abdominal organs digestion is also improved.

  • Vrikshasana :
Vrikshasana strengthens your spine by improving your posture. Also standing on one leg enhances the strength in your ligaments of ankles and feet. This pose brings you to a rejuvenated and invigorated state.


It can also strengthens your legs, thighs, spine, shoulders and arms.

  • Crow pose :
Crow pose also known as Bakasana in Sanskrit targets the core muscles, works on the arms, and strengthens the wrists, upper back, and legs. This pose increases the flexibility and elasticity of the spine. It also improves body control.

     


  • Wheel  pose :
Wheel pose is s advanced back bending pose. It is also known as Urdhva Dhanurasana. It focuses on one of the most important muscles, the trapezius and the rhomboids. It is also good for infertility, asthama, osteoporosis. This asana also strengthens liver, pancreas and kidneys.
